Something Different!

Believe it or not there are trees that will stay relatively small and have beautiful blooms. This is one of my favorites. It's a Horse Chestnut, (O'Neil's Red) and I planted it over 10 years ago in a relatively shady spot and it's bloomed faithfully every May. It's around 10' tall and my guess is that it would be taller if it received more sunlight.  I will say though, if it doesn't get regular watering, it will drop leaves and isn't as attractive! But, with the rain we're having this Summer, it's not a problem!

The whole tree is covered with these 8" flowers
